University Transfers for New Students – 2025/2026
The Ministry of Higher Education announces the opening of university transfers for the academic year 2025/2026, according to the following schedule (starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025):
📅 Schedule
August 19–23, 2025: Submission of transfer requests via the online platform.
August 24–25, 2025: Processing of requests by higher education institutions.
August 26–31, 2025: Publication of transfer results.
⚠️ Important Note
You must first complete your final registration in the program you were assigned to.
Only then can you submit a transfer request.
📌 Transfer Conditions
The student must be registered in the assigned program (mandatory condition).
The student’s average grade must meet the admission criteria for the requested program.
Available seats must exist in the requested program.
📚 Available Programs
The transfer platform only displays programs with available seats.
Each student is allowed to submit only one transfer request.
🔄 Types of Transfers
Internal Transfer (within the same university):
→ No justification required.External Transfer (from one university to another, within or outside the same wilaya):
→ Requires justification (e.g., change of residence, parent’s job transfer, marriage, program not offered, etc.).
🖥️ Steps for Transfer via Progres Platform
Log in to the platform.
Select the type of transfer (internal or external).
Provide the required justifications (residence certificate, unavailability of program, medical condition, etc.).
Wait for the decision on your request (results will appear on the same platform).
✅ After Acceptance of Transfer
Download the transfer acceptance certificate.
Cancel your registration at the first university.
Register again in the new program or university.
