Doctoral Defense Procedure
The submission of the defense file is ensured by the Thesis Supervisor
Doctoral defense files must be submitted to the department at least 08 days before the CSF meeting in order to allow the CFD to review them.1. Submission of the file (Doctoral Candidate)
– One finalized hard copy of the thesis + PDF format (respecting the cover page template in Annex 4)– The article with its online link (Article PDF + CD)
✓ The publication must be related to the thesis and belong to category A+, A, or B.
✓ The doctoral candidate’s name must appear in the first position.
✓ The laboratory title and institutional affiliation must be indicated.
– Certificates of participation in conferences with proceedings extracts
– Certificates of regular enrollment (Annex 3)
– Plagiarism check (VDPG)
– Authorization request for defense (Supervisor/VDPG)
– Report prepared by the thesis supervisor (Annex 1, Annex 2)
– Opinion of the Doctoral Training Committee (CFD)
The submission of the file is ensured by the thesis supervisor at the level of the doctoral training services of the department.
2. Submission of the Administrative File (VDPG)
– Doctoral Student Record Book (validation of the 180 credits obtained by the doctoral candidate)– CSF minutes
– Training accreditation decree (optional)
– CFD minutes
– Request to issue a decision to establish the defense jury (VDPG)
– Submission of the decision to establish the defense jury (VRPG)
– Appointment of the jury members (according to the relevant regulatory text) (VDPG)
– Submission of the jury members’ reports, including the president’s report (Annex 5) (Experts)
– Submission of the synthesis report by the jury president (Jury president and experts)
– Submission of the defense decision request (VDPG)
– Submission of the defense decision (VRPG)
– Submission of the defense announcement (VDPG)
– Submission of the defense minutes (VDPG)
– Submission of the minutes lifting the reserves signed by the Jury President (Annex 6)
– Submission of the final version of the thesis (Doctoral Candidate)
– Submission of a copy of the diploma (VRPG)
