Secretary General
The General Secretariat of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Algiers 1 is under the responsibility of the Secretary General, Mr. SLIMI Walid.
He is in charge of the administrative and financial management of the structures under his authority, as well as of the common administrative and technical services.
In accordance with the provisions of Executive Decree No. 03-279 of August 23, 2003, which defines the missions and rules of organization and operation of universities, and the Interministerial Order of August 24, 2004, relating to the administrative organization of the rectorate, faculty, institute, and common services, the Secretary General is responsible for several key missions:

Preparing and implementing the human resources management plan for the faculty.

Managing the careers of the faculty’s staff.

Organizing and preserving the faculty’s administrative archives and documentation.

Preparing and managing the faculty’s budget.

Promoting scientific, cultural, and sports activities in collaboration with the relevant structures of the rectorate, for the benefit of students.

Overseeing the management, upkeep, and maintenance of the faculty’s movable and immovable property.

Ensuring the implementation of the faculty’s internal security plan.
The General Secretariat of the faculty comprises several essential departments that contribute to the efficient management of the faculty’s activities:
